    Wengen is a small town in the Alps in the centre of Switzerland. It is home to a very popular ski resort. The resort is used by many professional ski competitions and is a favourite with competitors. Slopes are available for all levels of experience, and are accessible by a variety of ski lifts. The region is very beautiful and features spectacular mountain scenery. Wengen has many attractive hotels and guest houses and there are restaurants and bars in the town for entertainment.     From which airport can I reach Wengen?

    The most convenient airport to reach Wengen is Zurich or Berne, which is a one to two hour transfer to Wengen. Basel and Geneva are also options for Wengen but transfer time can be well over two hours during peak travel time. You should bear in mind that airport transfers to Wengen are taken by train. There are no roads into the town. Wengen is well served by the rack railway system that connects the town to Lauterbrunnen. Car hire is therefore not an option for visitors to Wengen.
