    Airport transfers to Valloire

There are plenty of French ski resorts that can say they’ve grown from humble origins – Valloire however takes it to all-new levels. The good news however is that this once tiny little farming town is now linked to the outside world with an abundance of 21st century transport connections and a network or airports bringing in the punters. In order to help you find the best possible route in and out of the action, we’ve put together this mini-guide comprising all of the airports within close reach of Valloire, the kinds of transfer times you can expect and your best options for weekend breaks. If Valloire is on the cards for you this year or any, we’re here to get you there!

    About Valloire

If you take a flight to Chambery Airport you’ll be rewarded with the fastest connection of all – you can be in Valloire in less than 60-minutes. As such, this is a resort you can add to your list of places with the potential for a quick weekend away or even just an overnight stay. It’s also really fast and easy to get into town from either Grenoble or Lyon, which in the ideal conditions for driving are about two hours away or less.

    Transfer Times to Valloire

There are plenty of things that can hold up a resort coach transfer service in the Alps, so it’s always a good idea to add on extra time if you are looking to catch a flight or make a connection. These times only apply to decent driving conditions with clear weather and minimal traffic:

    • From Chambery (CMF) - 1 hour 10 minutes
    • From Turin Cuneo (CUF) - 2 hours 40 minutes
    • From Grenoble (GNB) - 1 hour 30 minutes
    • From Geneva (GVA) - 2 hours 10 minutes
    • From Lyon Bron (LYN) - 2 hours 10 minutes
    • From Lyon St-Exupéry (LYS) - 2 hours 10 minutes
    • From Milan Malpensa (MXP) - 3 hours 10 minutes
    • From Sion (SIR) - 3 hours 25 minutes
    • From Turin Caselle (TRN) - 2 hours

    Advice on Transportation to Valloire

From Grenoble Airport you could head into the city centre and take public transport to Valloire, but you would have to accept perhaps several connecting services along the way and the chance of not getting a seat at all. And if you do, you could see your transfer time being double that of a direct coach transfer.

In order to make the most of your time on the slopes, we always advise booking your seat ahead with a reputable airport transfer company and perhaps saving a small fortune in the process.
