About Stuben
In the pretty little town of Stuben itself you’ll find a total of 15km of marked runs, but don’t be fooled into thinking that’s all you have access to. Stuben forms part of the Alberg ski region which serves up a staggering 248 pistes and an incredibly array of cross-country and snowboarding opportunities. Highly rated as one of the best resorts in Europe for families, Stuben is safe, welcoming and quite delightfully pretty across every square inch. It’s a bit like making the most of all the Alps have to offer while retaining that traditional old-world feeling so many other resorts try hard to replicate. Stuben is the real deal.
Airports Serving Stuben
The only way you can realistically get into Stuben for a daytrip of perhaps for a weekend is to head for St. Gallen-Altenrhein airport. Here you’ll only be about an hour away from the action, but this isn’t an airport served by many of the bigger budget airlines that connect the Alps with the rest of Europe. The second closest is Memmingen, but chances are the cheapest flight prices will get you into Zurich which is about two hours away.
Transfer Times to Stuben
We list transfer times as a guide only as we cannot predict what kind of holdups will occur when the weather is poor or the roads themselves congested. Always add extra time onto the following and never travel without a margin for error to play with:
- From St. Gallen-Altenrhein (ACH) - 1 hour
- From Bolzano (BZO) - 2 hours 35 minutes
- From Memmingen (FMM) - 1 hour 50 minutes
- From Lugano (LUG) - 2 hours 50 minutes
- From Salzburg (SZG) - 3 hours 30 minutes
- From Zurich (ZRH) - 2 hours
Advice on Transportation to Stuben
Stuben is not an easy place to get to via public transport and to take a taxi from somewhere like Zurich would cost a small fortune. As such, our advice is to take the advice of the masses and always book with a ski resort airport transfer service before setting off. This will not only guarantee your seat, but could save you so much time and money better spent at the resort you’re travelling to.
