St.Gallenkirch has direct access to 44 individual pistes with the length of 100 km of groomed ski runs. The ski pass, that you buy in St.Gallenkirch, is valid for the Motafon ski resort of Gargellen. For adrenaline’s seekers there is the largest in Austria snowpark and a 5 km long illuminated night tobogganing run. The weather conditions are usually very propitious for skiing in the valley and ski season lasts from the beginning of December till the end of April. How to get to St. Gallenkirch
By bus:
Leave your car at home and let someone to take care of you. Reliable bus system operates in the Montafon area and brings thousands of guests every year to the villages of the valley. The “Landbus” coach and the local Schruns-Tschagguns bus make it easy to travel around the Montafon all the way to the bottom of the valley quickly and safely.
By train:
There is the MBS “Montafon Train Bludenz” railway 20 km long that runs between Bludenz and Schruns. Trains run between every half an hour.
By car:
From Germany: go through Pfander tunnel, follow the motorway of the valley Rhein, then A14 motorway, through Amberg tunnel, take the exit to the Montafon, follow Montafonstrasse L188.
From Switzerland: take the motorway from Zurich/Tisis to Vaglau, then change to the motorway A14 till the exit Bludenz/Montafon, Montafonstrasse L188.
From Austria: Through Arlberg tunnel, take the highway to Arlberg in the direction to Bludenz, Montafonstrasse L188.
